Kawabata-dori Shopping Street is a representative shopping street in Fukuoka. There is a ramen shop Dosanko in one corner of the shopping street.Dosanko refers to people from Hokkaido. Speaking of Hokkaido ramen, it is miso ramen. In other words, Dosanko is a miso ramen shop.Fukuoka is the birthplace of tonkotsu ramen. Therefore, there are few ramen other than tonkotsu, especially miso ramen. Speaking of miso ramen in Fukuoka, it's Dosanko, albeit few.Dosanko was established in 1970. It was the only miso ramen in Fukuoka at that time maybe.Compared to the homemade Hokkaido miso ramen, miso is a sweet and light soup.It is important to note that the store closes early, but there is also a branch at JR Hakata Station, which is the last order at 22:30.
Wow GREAT atmosphere! I came 5 minutes after opening at 11:20am and the shop was already full of hungry customers! The staff was pumpink out food like machines with much vigor and enthusiasm.Like others mentioned, the ramen is not Hakata style. Miso ramen was good, not mindblowing, but comfortable to eat and well balanced.Great for the experience.
Miso Soup is not as thick and tasty as some other store although soup was prepared in front of you with some miso paste added to the stock in a wok to maintain the freshness of the miso taste . Charsiu is not as tender and a bit chewy . Ramen noodle is ok !
Very delicious ramen with a tasty broth. What we really liked was that the broth was very hot and stayed like this until you finished your bowl.
great ramen, nice staff, efficient open kitchen with magnificent culinary skill. a great place for ramen!by the way, dont follow google map all the time, as it shown me the way to the shop's back door while the main entrance should be on the shopping street!
Best ramen I had tried in Japan so far! I can totally feel the passion of the ramen chef and how much he enjoy to make the bowl of ramen for me! I m not a big fans of Raman at all, but I did finish my bowl of ramen!
Friendly staff best noodles
fantastic miso tonkotsu and a good price considering it's location. i highly recommend ordering a hard boiled egg (as well as the ramen) and plopping it right into the ramen for a bit of lovely eggyness
Delicious ramen. A good non-hakata ramen alternative which leaves you satisfied and not overwhelmingly full. Menu has multiple languages and fairly simple with choices. Staff are friendly to foreigners and tries to understand poorly spoken Japanese words mixed with English. Would recommend this place.
Stumbled upon this ramen store while looking for something to eat along the Kawabata Shopping Arcade. It was already way past lunch hour, but there were still a lot of noodle-slurping customers. The ramen that they serve here is not the Hakata-stlye thin noodles but the typical ramen you would get elsewhere in Japan, which I personally prefer. The soup broth is also thicker and has a deeper, robust flavor. The aroma of the fried rice really whets your appetite.
Good price
Local taste ramen
Delicious Ramen, nice location and lovely service. English menu available. I personally loved it. The shoyu pork broth was light and not so fatty, the noodles had exactly the right texture and the taste was very balanced and not too salty.
